Privacy policy

This policy applies to Lighthaus Wealth, ABN 95 680 291 221, trading as Lighthaus (we, us, our), and to the website at lighthaus.co and any Lighthaus product or early access programme offered through it.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies to a visitor in the EU or UK, we also honour the rights described in section 9.

We only collect what we need. That falls into three groups.

Information you give us. When you request early access, book a call or contact us, we collect your firm or company name, your full name, email address, phone number, the persona you select (for example buyer's agent, real estate agent or individual investor), your contact consent preference, and anything else you choose to tell us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we and our analytics providers collect your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and interactions such as clicks and scrolling.

Session recordings and heatmaps. Our product analytics tooling may record a reconstruction of your visit, including mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and page content. We configure it to mask text entered into form fields. We do not use these recordings to identify you.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act, and we ask that you do not send it to us. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

• To arrange and hold a discovery or demonstration call
• To qualify and manage enquiries in our customer relationship records
• To send product updates where you have agreed to be contacted
• To understand how the site is used and improve its content and performance
• To keep the site secure and to detect misuse
• To meet our legal and record keeping obligations

If you no longer want product updates, reply to any message from us or email wickie@lighthaus.co and we will stop.

The site uses cookies and similar local storage for two purposes: essential operation (serving pages, remembering that a dialog has been dismissed) and analytics, which measure traffic and how pages are used.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site. Blocking essential storage may cause parts of the site to behave unexpectedly.

We honour the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals where our providers support them.

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only to providers who help us run Lighthaus, and only for that purpose. Those providers are currently:

• Attio (United States and EU) - customer relationship records. Receives the details you submit through our forms, including your name, email, phone, firm and the persona you selected.
• Cal.com (United States) - call scheduling. Receives your name, email and booking details when you book a time with us.
• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, United States) - website analytics. Receives pseudonymised usage and device data. IP addresses are truncated before storage and we do not enable advertising features or sell audiences.
• Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation, United States) - heatmaps and session replay. Receives pseudonymised interaction data with form input masked.
• Storyblok (European Union) - content management for our learning centre. Does not receive visitor personal information.
• Cloudflare and our hosting provider - site delivery, security and server logs.
• Email and productivity providers - to receive and answer your messages.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect someone's safety, or to a buyer as part of a sale or restructure of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

If we add or change a provider that materially affects how your information is handled, we will update this policy and, where required, seek your consent.

Several of the providers above store and process information outside Australia, primarily in the United States and the European Union. By submitting your details you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to ensure each provider handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through their contractual data processing terms.

We use reputable providers, restrict internal access to a need to know basis, and rely on encryption in transit for all data submitted through the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as we have a relationship with you and then for up to seven years to meet our tax and record keeping obligations. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's standard retention period, currently up to 14 months for Google Analytics and up to 13 months for Microsoft Clarity. We de-identify or delete information we no longer need.

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email wickie@lighthaus.co and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. If we refuse a request we will tell you why in writing.

Where the GDPR applies, our lawful bases are your consent (analytics and marketing updates), our legitimate interests (site security, understanding site use, responding to business enquiries) and our legal obligations (record keeping). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, email wickie@lighthaus.co with the detail of your concern. We will acknowledge it within five business days and give you a written response within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

We may update this policy as Lighthaus develops. The current version is always on this page with the date it took effect. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email or a notice on the site.
